3. Toxic Patterns:

Victims blame others and expect to be "saved" for attention and love.

Savers take responsibility for fixing others, hoping it will make them feel valued and loved.

These roles often stem from childhood experiences and perpetuate toxic cycles.

Many times when people hear a talk on boundaries and taking responsibility for their own lives, they say, “That’s so self-centered. We should love one another and deny ourselves.” Or, they actually become selfish and self-centered. Or, they feel “guilty” when they do someone a favor. 

6.  Everyone needs encouragement. Find specific ways to encourage your friend. Even in the depths of their struggles, show them what you see to be special about them and be willing to pick them up when they are depressed or feel like life is pressing in on them from all sides.
